As the Ipswich Witches head into 2026 as defending Premiership champions, looking to build on their 2025 title, we are pleased to confirm that George Baker Shipping will once again be sponsoring one of their riders, the iconic Scott Nicholls.
A record seven-time British champion, Scott’s return to Ipswich has been warmly received by supporters and the club alike. Now 47, he has hinted this could be his final season after more than three decades on the bike, making it a particularly special campaign for everyone involved with the club.
Adding to this year’s sponsorship, our colleague Stephen Catling, who has previously worked as a team mechanic for Scott, is set to rejoin the team this season. His role trackside will involve supporting bike setup and performance throughout race meetings, tyre adjustments / fittings, and working closely with the team to ensure the bike remains as competitive as possible throughout changing track conditions.
